I have just recently returned from an 18 day shopping
extravaganza in California. We hit all
my favorite flea markets and shopping areas.
We started in Hollywood, Ca. at one of my favorite markets Melrose
Trading Post http://melrosetradingpost.org/ . I’ve
been going to this market for years and I was pleasantly surprised at how large
it has gotten. You can
find fabulous vintage and antique treasures and rolling racks of vintage
clothing.
{Just a few of my fabulous finds from the Melrose market.}
I fell in love with this French Settee recovered in
burlap. The gentlemen that I purchased
it from used to work for Rachel Ahswell.
It was only in the store for 3 days when it sold.
{ Team Faded Elegance}
{Great French Beds}
{Fabulous Industrial Pieces, I love the stools made out of milk baskets and reclaimed wood}
{Great selection of handmade jewelery and vintage clothing}
We have a tradition of having lunch at Canter’s Deli after
our day of shopping at the market. Canter's Deli is one of California's oldest
delis Located in Los Angeles' Miracle Mile District in the middle of the
entertainment industry. Growing up,
whenever I visited my grandparents in California they would take us to Canter’s
Deli. They serve the best deli sandwiches,
but come hungry because they make huge sandwiches! After spending several days in Hollywood we hit the road to Palm Springs, truck and trailer already overflowing. I will be posting our adventures in San Francisco at the Alameda Flea Market.
