Road Trip Part II

After spending several days in Palm Springs we headed to my most favorite Antique Faire, Alameda Point Antiques Faire in San Francisco.  My heart starts to race thinking about this Faire, we have been going for years.  Chloe was only 3 months old when she went on her first road trip to Alameda.  The Alameda Point Antiques Faire is the largest antiques show in Northern California.
Held on the 1st Sunday of every month, the Faire boasts over 800 Dealer booths. All items are 20 years old or older. The ultimate place to shop for vintage and antique home decorations, clothing, furniture, jewelry, art, pottery, books and collectibles.
 French grain sacks, they make great pillows.  They are now at Faded Elegance!
Antique French wine bottles packed in their original straw packing.
More fabulous French finds
Le truc- yummy! Have to keep Team Faded Elegance fueled!
Great Statuary
Chloe and Charlie posing for a picture, Charlie makes fabulous tables from re-claimed wood and architectural details. This fantastic reclaimed wood table with antique baluster legs had Faded Elegance all over it!
Anthony is so good at gathering all my treasures while I run around and buy, I've got a good team.  Anthony and Chloe work pretty cheap, a nice dinner after our shopping blitz.

More fabulous finds
My growing treasure trove, four full carts later and we were ready to load our trailer and head to San Francisco’s China Town for a delicious dinner.

Road Trip Part I

I have just recently returned from an 18 day shopping extravaganza in California.  We hit all my favorite flea markets and shopping areas.  We started in Hollywood, Ca. at one of my favorite markets Melrose Trading Post  http://melrosetradingpost.org/  .  I’ve been going to this market for years and I was pleasantly surprised at how large it has gotten.  You can find fabulous vintage and antique treasures and rolling racks of vintage clothing.
{Just a few of my fabulous finds from the Melrose market.}
I fell in love with this French Settee recovered in burlap.  The gentlemen that I purchased it from used to work for Rachel Ahswell.  It was only in the store for 3 days when it sold.
{ Team Faded Elegance}

{Great French Beds}
{Fabulous Industrial Pieces, I love the stools made out of milk baskets and reclaimed wood}
{Great selection of handmade jewelery and vintage clothing}
We have a tradition of having lunch at Canter’s Deli after our day of shopping at the market. Canter's Deli is one of California's oldest delis Located in Los Angeles' Miracle Mile District in the middle of the entertainment industry.  Growing up, whenever I visited my grandparents in California they would take us to Canter’s Deli.  They serve the best deli sandwiches, but come hungry because they make huge sandwiches!  After spending several days in Hollywood we hit the road to Palm Springs, truck and trailer already overflowing.  I will be posting our adventures in San Francisco at the Alameda Flea Market.
